Summer in the US
Summer in the US Since 2003 Anatolia students have been encouraged by the US College Counseling Office to explore their interests beyond our campus and city boundaries. Summer abroad programs have served as an engaging and interactive way for students to be exposed to multicultural academic settings and to expand their knowledge in real-life situations. During this past summer of 2016, a total of 62 students, 13 from the Gymnasium, 33 from the Lyceum and 16 from the I.B. attended 29 different academic or leadership programs in the US. Students attended signature college level courses in music at Ithaca University (N.Y.), in creative writing at Smith College (M.A.) , in entrepreneurship and sustainability at Lehigh University (PA), in architecture at the College of Architecture at the University of Illinois, in business & finance at Georgetown University (DC) and in engineering and physics at Stevens University (N.J.), Purdue University (IN) and W.PI. (MA).
Last but not least students were offered prestigious positions as interns at the Greek Consulate in Boston and as research assistants at Tufts, Harvard, the University of Washington St. Louis and St. Louis University. We are proud of all our students who represented our school abroad in a fine way and in some cases won great distinctions and accolades. We thank them and say: well done Anatolians! |
